Jun. 27—SIOUX FALLS — Mitchell White got back in the win column by ending the Mid-Summer Classic with an 8-7 walk-off win over Harrisburg at Harmodon Park Sunday.

Mitchell dropped its first three games of the tournament but rebounded as Gavin Jones scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth against the Tigers. Jones also went 2-for-3 and scored two runs in the game.

Jacob Ebert and Jaxson Hartman each had two hits and an RBI for Mitchell (12-14), while Van Johnson knocked in a pair of runs. Oscar Luque and Dawson Adams each added RBIs.

Carter McCormick surrendered two earned runs on seven hits and three walks and struck out three over five innings.

Tyler Christensen had an RBI in Mitchell’s 8-2 loss to West Central Saturday, while Ebert drove in a run during a 17-5 loss to Sioux Falls East on Friday. Ebert also had an RBI and five strikeouts in a 4-2 loss to the Northwestern Legends (Iowa) to open the tournament on Friday.
