Jun. 13—The Mitchell 15/16 baseball team topped Pierre Post 8 in a pair of Saturday home games. Mitchell won 5-1 and 10-3.
In Game 1, Mitchell posted eight hits and Lincoln Bates struck out 12 batters. Bates allowed three hits and one run in six innings.
Offensively, Blake Brosz finished with two hits. Lincoln Bates, Hudson Haley, Karter Sibson, Gavin Soukup, Connor Singray and Collin Stange each had a hit.
In Game 2, Bates, Haley, Sibson, Singray and Peyton Mandel had two hits apiece. Carter Miller added a hit. Soukup struck out nine batters, allowed five hits and three runs (two earned) in four innings.
