The latest AP Poll is out, and just like the Coaches Poll, Michigan State football has risen by one spot in the rankings. The Spartans still sit in front of Michigan at No. 7 in this poll, just behind Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, Cincinnati, Alabama, and Georgia.

Ohio State is No. 5 and the Spartans will face them this Saturday for a chance to jump into the top-5.

It is notable that Michigan stays behind MSU in this poll, despite beating Penn State on the road and being ranked ahead of MSU in the College Football Playoff rankings.
