Make that two in the signal-caller department.

Michigan football offered Sachse (Texas) four-star (per On3) quarterback Alex Orji in March, but he pledged to Virginia Tech a few weeks later. However, the brother of two Vanderbilt defensive players had second thoughts about Blacksburg.

Orji was among those who visited Ann Arbor just before the dead period. While he weighed his options heavily, it appears new Virginia Tech head coach Brent Pry couldn’t keep him.

On Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period, Orji flipped to Michigan football.

A dual-threat quarterback, Orji could either remain at the position or switch, considering Michigan already has Apple Valley (California) three-star Jayden Denegal committed at the position.

Aside from Virginia Tech, Orji has offers from Baylor, Houston, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt, among others.

The On3 consensus has Orji rated as the No. 419 prospect in the country, the 19th-best athlete, and 63rd-rated talent out of the state of Texas.
