There is good news and bad news to be found on Miami’s second injury report of Week 2 of the 2021 regular season. The good news? Every player with a listed injury on the report managed to be a full participant in Thursday’s practice. The bad news? Miami Dolphins wide receiver Will Fuller missed Thursday’s practice all together with a personal matter. Here are the players included on Wednesday night’s first injury report:

TE Adam Shaheen (Knee) – Full
WR Preston Williams (Foot) – Full
LB Andrew Van Ginkel (Back) – Full
SAF Clayton Fejedelem (Shoulder) – Full
WR DeVante Parker (Shoulder) – Full
LB Elandon Roberts (Knee) – Full
DT John Jenkins (Knee) – Full
WR Will Fuller (Personal) – Did not participate

The absence of Fuller isn’t necessarily damning from the perspective that it will hurt his ability to play on Sunday — it was an unspecified personal matter and presumably will not be a barricade for the rest of the week. But the Dolphins have missed having Fuller on-hand and providing his services throughout the entirety of training camp and the first week fo the regular season — Fuller missed time with a lower body injury after the first day of training camp and only returned to practice as an active participant for the first time on Tuesday between the injury and his suspension.

That doesn’t provide a lot of active and working reps for Fuller to be in-sync with his quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa. It isn’t likely that we’ll see Miami shelve Fuller against Buffalo or anything of that nature, but it is at least worth considering that if you had to pick a Miami Dolphin who could least afford to missed a single practice at this point in the season, Fuller would likely be high up on the list.

But what is done is done and Fuller should, at the very least, be ready to press play and kick his own season off on Sunday against the Bills.
