Johneshwy Fargas after crashing into CF wall

Johneshwy Fargas (shoulder)

Fargas suffered a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder while crashing into the center field fence on May 24.

Potential return date: TBD

J.D. Davis (hand)

The next step for Davis, who is playing rehab games at Triple-A Syracuse, is to play back-to-back nine inning games.

He missed Sunday’s game due to a stiff neck.

Potential return date: Later this week

Pete Alonso (hand)

Luis Rojas said on May 24 that Alonso will swing with two hands on Monday, and there is going to be a progression, potentially including rehab games, before he rejoins the club.

Zack Scott said he expects Alonso rejoin the team next week.

Potential return date: Late May

Seth Lugo (elbow)

Lugo has thrown two shutout innings in his rehab assignment, one with St. Lucie, and one with Syracuse.

Scott gave a positive update on Lugo on May 24.

“Seth’s progressing well. He’s on pace to come off the IL pretty much as soon as he can. … He’s probably looking right around [the 31st] or the 1st [of June].”

Potential return date: May 31

Taijuan Walker (side)

Walker is on the 10-day IL with left side tightness.

The injury and process to bring him back will be similar to Jacob deGrom’s, per Rojas. DeGrom missed two starts.

Potential return date: Early June

Kevin Pillar (nose)

Pillar suffered multiple nasal fractures when he was hit in the face by a 95 mph fastball against the Braves in Atlanta.

He began light activities on May 25 but will not be returning when first eligible on May 28.

Potential return date: Mid June

Noah Syndergaard (TJS recovery)

Syndergaard starts for Low-A St. Lucie on May 25 in what will be his second rehab start.

He will likely advance to Triple-A Syracuse before being activated.

Potential return date: Mid June

Brandon Nimmo (finger)

Nimmo told reporters on May 22 that he’s “feeling pretty good right now,” but he’s still yet to take swings after reaggravating his finger injury on May 13.

The outfielder said he’s dealing with “a pesky little nerve” in his left index finger, and he’s still feeling pain when making contact.

Potential return date: TBD

Carlos Carrasco (hamstring)

Before Carrasco paused his rehab, he was expected to return at some point in May. But things have been slowed down. Carrasco had thrown six innings in simulated games before the slowdown.

“If I’m gonna put a time estimate on it, probably looking at maybe late June, early July, that type of timeframe,” acting GM Zack Scott said on May 24.

Potential return date: Late June/Early July

Michael Conforto (hamstring)

Conforto suffered a significant hamstring strain on May 16.

Zack Scott said on May 25 that a possible return date for Conforto is late June.

Potential return date: Late June

Jeff McNeil (hamstring)

McNeil suffered a significant hamstring strain on May 16.

Zack Scott said on May 25 that a possible return date for McNeil is late June.

Potential return date: Late June

Luis Guillorme (oblique)

Guillorme is not yet doing baseball activity as he recovers from his oblique injury.

Albert Almora Jr. (shoulder)

Almora landed on the IL on May 12 after crashing into the center field wall at Citi Field while trying to make a catch.

Tommy Hunter (back)

Hunter was placed on the IL on May 21 due to lower back pain.
