Bears head coach Matt Nagy met with the media ahead of Tuesday’s practice, where he shared injury updates, which have been plentiful during the summer.
The only new addition to the injury list is cornerback Tre Roberson, who suffered a knee injury.
Running back David Montgomery didn’t practice during the team periods on Monday due to soreness, but he’ll be “good to go” on Tuesday, per Nagy.
When asked about the status of Roquan Smith, who hasn’t practiced since Aug. 6 with a groin injury, Nagy said, “no news is probably goods news for him.”
While the Bears aren’t getting any players back from injury for Tuesday’s practice, Nagy didn’t sound too concerned. The focus is making sure those players are ready to go for Week 1.
New Bears left tackle Jason Peters, who was officially signed Monday, won’t practice today. That’s due to the length of the COVID-19 testing intake process.
