Mark Ingram gives hilarious commentary during D.C. United game originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
Mark Ingram just might have a future in the MLS broadcast booth after his NFL career comes to a close.
The Houston Texans’ running back and new D.C. United investor was brought into the broadcast for the team’s matchup against Inter Miami CF on Saturday. Ingram supplied some phenomenal color commentary in the 56th minute.
Inter Miami’s Gregore made an ill-advised tackle while already on a yellow card. The official brandished Gregore a second yellow, resulting in a disqualifying red card. Listen to what the former Baltimore Raven had to say:
“Bye! Bye! You can’t do that!” said a jubilant Ingram as Gregore was sent off. Gregore’s error in part led to a D.C. United victory, thanks to a 72nd-minute penalty from Ola Kamara.
Ingram bought a stake in the team earlier this month. “I just want to be an asset to the organization, a breath of fresh air to the organization, and just help us be champions,” he said.
The club currently sits at sixth place in the MLS’ Eastern with 12 points. D.C. United will travel up north for a battle against CF Montreal on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
