May 13—Brock Lundquist had a pair of hits, including a sixth-inning grand slam to break a 2-2 tie, as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats beat the visiting Somerset Patriots for the second straight night, 7-2, at Delta Dental Stadium on Wednesday night.
The Fishers (3-5) had taken a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the fifth on RBI singles from Lundquist and Samad Taylor, but Diego Castillo answered with an RBI single in the top of the sixth to tie it.
NH catcher Gabriel Moreno continued to stay red-hot at the plate, recording three hits. He is now batting .500 on the young season.
Elvis Luciano gave the Fishers a solid start, giving up one run on three hits while striking out five over five innings. Relievers Andrew McInvale and Mike Ellenbest each tossed two innings of relief, allowing one run between them.
