Myles Brennan, the backup quarterback for LSU, is entering the transfer portal, per Rivals.
He was a four star quarterback out of Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi in the 2017 recruiting class.
Brennan was a starter for four games for the Tigers in 2020 before he suffered an abdominal tear which put him on the sidelines for the remainder of the season. He was the projected starter for the 2021 season before another injury in camp put him back on the sidelines, where he sat to this day.
Brennan completed 60.2% of his passes for 1,712 yards, 13 touchdowns, and six interceptions over the course of his four years with LSU. 1,112 of those passing yards game in the first four games of the 2020 season.
Max Johnson has been the starting quarterback for the Tigers so far this season, but fans have been disgruntled with his performance. Backup Garrett Nussmeier has seen limited action recently for LSU, prompting fans to believe there may be some controversy brewing at the position. Brennan leaving the program now seems to not be a coincidence.
