Ty Gibbs won Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

UPDATED RESULTS: Xfinity Series at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Gibbs earned his fifth career Xfinity win in only his 21st series start.

According to Racing Insights, he becomes only the third driver to accomplish that feat. The others: Hall of Famer Darrell Waltrip (seven wins in 21 starts) and Ryan Newman (five in 21 starts).

Las Vegas native Noah Gragson finished second. Series champion Daniel Hemric finished third.

Gragson’s JR Motorsports teammates, Josh Berry (fourth) and Justin Allgaier (fifth) completed the top five.

Joe Graf Jr. was disqualified after his car was found with three lug nuts loose and not secure in post-race inspection.

He finished 29th in the race, but following the DQ, he is credited with last place – 38th.

POINTS REPORT

Gragson (144 points) now leads the Xfinity regular season standings by 17 points over Gibbs (127 points).

They both pass AJ Allmendinger, who slipped to third in the standings (123 points) after his ninth-place finish Saturday.

Allgaier (120 points) lost one position to fourth. Berry (108 points) moved up two positions to fifth.
