Kirk Herbstreit has released his updated college football top six rankings after a fairly crazy week nine wrapped up this weekend.
Despite winning by 19 on the road and staying unbeaten as they won fairly easily at Tulane, Cincinnati slid in Herbstreit’s rankings. Who then moved up in order to bump them down?

Oklahoma sits at 9-0 but Herbstreit still has them barely cracking his list as they’re the last team listed.

Herbstreit previously had Cincinnati ranked fourth but a win by someone else over a top-10 team had the Bearcats bumped.

Sparty Party was on for Michigan State after their 37-33 comeback win over Michigan that improved their record to 8-0. The Spartans travel to Purdue this weekend.
3. Ohio State

It wasn’t their most impressive showing but Ohio State stepped up when they needed to in getting by Penn State. They dropped a spot in Herbstreit’s rankings from a week ago as a result.
2. Alabama

The Tide were off this week but Herbstreit, like so many others, sees them as one of the two best teams in the nation.
