Sep. 18—Jordan Henn of Kutztown raced to victory Friday night in the Freedom 38 sportsman race at Grandview Speedway.
Henn started on the pole and earned $2,300 for the wire-to-wire victory. It was Henn’s first Freedom 38 victory and second sportsman win at the Bechtelsville one-third mile clay oval.
“I came close in this race in the year I won the championship (in 2016) and wound up finishing in second that night,” Henn said. “I lost the win in lapped traffic and I wasn’t about to let that happen again.”
Through several restarts Henn won by a safe distance followed by Kevin Hirthler, Steve Davis, Brett Gilmore and Mark Kemmerer.
