The Jets have placed guard Alex Lewis on the exempt/left squad.
The 2016 fourth-rounder left practice on Thursday with a head injury shortly after taking snaps in place of the healing Alijah Vera-Tucker.
Lewis, who was placed on the NFI list last December, does not currently count toward the 90-man roster – he played in just nine games last year, all of which were starts.
Lewis is currently in the second year of a three-year pact.
