Is Jeff Petry ok?

The Montreal Canadiens defenseman has been sidelined since suffering a hand injury in Game 3 of the team’s series against the Winnipeg Jets, but he was inserted into the lineup just ahead of the Habs’ Stanley Cup semifinal Game 2 against the Vegas Golden Knights.

But what in the world is going on here?

While his return to action was surprising, nobody in the world was expecting to see the absolutely terrifyingly bloodshot eyes that overcame the blueliner’s face during warmups.

I don’t know what has happened to Petry since the last time we saw him, but I’m not sure if I want to find out.

Despite what his eyes suggest, he seems to be doing fine. Through almost two periods, the rearguard has been excellent, recording one assist while taking a regular shift as his Canadiens lead 2-0 over the Golden Knights as of this writing.
