James Harden with three fingers up vs. Celtics

James Harden is active for Game 5 after originally being ruled out on Monday, according to the team.

Brooklyn announced that Harden’s status for the game had gone from out to doubtful to questionable. ESPN reported Harden worked through his hamstring ailment during shootaround and no problem was found with it, and he did the same before the game to make sure he was good to go.

Nets head coach Steve Nash was asked about Harden’s availability before Tuesday’s game, saying it ultimately came down to Harden’s decision.

“I think it is James’ decision. He’s been pushing, he wants to play,” said Nash.

The Nets will, however, be without Kyrie Irving (ankle), who was ruled out on Monday.

The Nets won’t have to rely too much on Kevin Durant to carry the load as Brooklyn looks to take a 3-2 series lead.
