Could the Suns’ Jae Crowder be on his way out of Phoenix?

The Phoenix Suns’ Jae Crowder turned heads Monday morning with a tweet that had people speculating about his future with the team.

In all caps, he wrote: “Change is inevitable.. Growth is optional.!! I believe its time for a change… I wanna continue growing.!”

Crowder averaged 9.4 points per game last season in 67 games for Phoenix, a starter for the Suns.

He added 5.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.

He shot 39.9% from the field and 34.8% from 3-point range.

He signed as a free agent with the Suns before the 2020-21 season and averaged 10.1 points per game in his first season in Phoenix.

Trade speculation and rumors have surrounded Crowder this offseason, with the  forward’s name often coming up in relation to a possible deal for the Brooklyn Nets’ Kevin Durant.

Crowder is 32 and is due to make more than $10 million in the upcoming season, the last season of his contract.
