Just when it looked like J.K. Dobbins was going to start to get more and more carries as the perceived top running back on the depth chart, his ability to get on the field with the Baltimore Ravens just hit a snag.

Dobbins was injured in the last preseason game against the Washington Football team Saturday night when he took a dump-down pass and tried to work his way upfield behind some blockers. The Washington defender dove into Dobbins to tackle him with a helmet-to-knee collision that did not look good.

The former Ohio State star could barely put any weight on his left leg coming off the field and was ruled out of the rest of the game. He was carted off into the locker room will undergo more tests to assess the severity of the injury. Let’s hope it’s not as bad as it looks.

Here is video of the hit and injury if you are so inclined.

Remember, at times like this, it is best not to speculate. We’ll just have to wait to see what comes out officially from the team.
