To help you out, here are the six questions for Saturday’s MLB games, along with my breakdown and picks.

Boston Home Runs vs. New York (NYY)

0, 1, 2 or 3+ Home Runs?

Boston will be going up against Gerrit Cole and while they tagged him in the last meeting, he looked excellent versus Houston in his previous start. I will go with two home runs, one off him and one tagged to the bullpen.

Pick: Boston 2 Home Runs

New York (NYY) Home Runs vs. Boston

0, 1, 2 or 3+ Home Runs?

New York is without a ton of starters due to COVID-19 making this an easy one for me. I am rolling with zero as I will not expect more than four runs from that offensive lineup.

Pick: New York 0 Home Runs

Chicago Singles & Doubles vs. Houston

0-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 or 9+ Singles? 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4+ Doubles?

Jake Odorizzi takes the mound for Houston and he has been hittable in his career. Chicago should want revenge after yesterday’s beatdown. I will give them triple the hits than yesterday as they only combined for three.

Pick: Chicago 7-8 Singles and 1 Double

San Francisco Singles & Doubles vs. St. Louis

0-2, 3, 4, 5, 6-7 or 8+ Singles? 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4+ Doubles?

Kwang Hyun Kim will start for St. Louis and our model likes him to surrender six to seven hits himself. I like San Francisco to approach double digits hits, so I will settle for a ton of singles in this matchup with a splash of doubles.

Pick: San Francisco 8+ Singles and 2 Doubles

San Francisco Strikeouts & Earned Runs vs. St. Louis

0-6, 7, 8, 9-10, or 11+ Strikeouts? 0, 1, 2, 3, 4-5 or 6+ Earned Runs?

This game should be full of both behind hittable pitchers and contact offenses. Roll with higher numbers in this one as it is Kim vs Anthony DeSclafani.

Pick: San Francisco 8 Strikeouts and 4-5 Earned Runs

Chicago (CWS) Strikeouts & Earned Runs vs. Houston

0-6, 7, 8, 9-10, 11, 12 or 13+ Strikeouts? 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5-6 or 7+ Earned Runs?

This should be a great matchup and I expect this one to even out after Friday’s outcome. Lucas Giolito on the mound for Chicago gives them another high strikeout guy. Dylan Cease went for 10 and Gerrit Cole for 12 a few games ago. Keep rolling with high Ks versus Houston for now.

Pick: Chicago 13+ Strikeouts & 4 Earned Runs
