Georgia did not look like the No. 2 team in the nation on Saturday against Vanderbilt.
It looked like No. 1.
The Bulldogs came into Nashville and completely dominated the Commodores in all categories. Georgia won the game 62-0.
Georgia wasted absolutely no time putting this game to rest. Eight minutes in, Georgia was up 21-0. 12 minutes in and that lead was 35-0.
True freshman tight end Brock Bowers continued to impress. He scored three touchdowns on the day, including a game-opening end-around 12 yard touchdown run. The former four-star out of Napa, California is looking like the favorite target of both JT Daniels and backup passer Stetson Bennett.
Bowers finished with 69 yards receiving and 3 total touchdowns.
And then there was Ladd McConkey, a redshirt freshman receiver, who also had a nice day. McConkey scored two touchdowns – one on the ground and one in the air.
He had total 86 yards.
Daniels only played one quarter before being sidelined with the game in hand. He completed 9 of 10 passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns. His only incompletion was a dropped ball.
Bennett came in to allow Daniels to rest. He threw 15 passes, completing 11 of them, and had one touchdown and one interception.
In total, Georgia put up 532 yards of total offense — 291 passing, 241 rushing.
Defensively, Georgia was at dominant as ever. The Bulldogs’ recorded its first shutout of the season. Through four games, Georgia’s defense has still only allowed 16 points and just one touchdown.
Georgia allowed just 24 passing yards to Vanderbilt. You read that right. The Commodores rushed for 54 yards. Vandy had 77 yards of offense.
Georgia forced three turnovers – one fumble and two interceptions.
Overall, it was pure domination.
