The start of the 2021-22 NBA season also signals the G League is beginning soon.

The Los Angeles Lakers‘ G League affiliate is the South Bay Lakers, which plays its home games at the UCLA Health Training Center in El Segundo, California.

South Bay’s schedule doesn’t start until Nov. 5, but the team, head coached by recently promoted Miles Simon, announced the training camp roster for the new season.

South Bay is where the two-way players on the Lakers’ full 17-man roster spend the majority of their time, so Sekou Doumbouya and Jay Huff are two of the prominent names.

Here’s the full roster tracker for the 14 players:

Sekou Doumbouya

Doumbouya, a former first-round pick, is the headliner of the squad because of his draft status and potential. The 6-foot-8 forward is raw, but this opportunity could be where he takes the next step.

Jay Huff

Huff is the other two-way player. He’s an undrafted rookie from 2021 who plays center. At 7-foot-1, Huff is a floor-spacing big that can shoot from deep. Huff was with the Washington Wizards but was waived during training camp cuts. That’s when the Lakers jumped in.

Chaundee Brown Jr.

The Lakers signed Chaundee Brown Jr. to an Exhibit 10 deal after the 2021 draft ended, but he didn’t make the roster despite being solid on both ends of the floor. Fortunately, L.A. can develop him here unless another team snags him.

Mac McClung

The Lakers signed Mac McClung to an Exhibit 10 deal after the 2021 draft ended, but he didn’t show enough to make the roster.

Cameron Oliver

Cameron Oliver, a 6-foot-9 forward, was a late training camp signing. However, the Lakers also waived him during final roster cuts.

Frank Mason III

The four-year veteran was signed by the Lakers on a training camp deal and waived the next day. The former second-round pick will have a role with his experience.

Andre Ingram

Lakers fans may remember Andre Ingram from a few seasons ago when he was promoted to the main roster and scored 19 points on his debut. Though he turns 36 in November, Ingram is still competing.

Elijah Cain

South Bay recently selected Elijah Cain, 25, in the G League draft. He’s a 6-foot-6 guard who graduated from DePaul in 2019.

Paris Bass

Paris Bass is a 6-foot-8 forward who played in the G League as a rookie in 2016-17. He spent the last two seasons playing overseas for Atleticos de San German where he’s been a small-ball big.

Tiwian Kendley

Tiwian Kendley, 26, is a 6-foot-5 shooting guard who last played in the G League in 2018-19.

Nick Norton

Nick Norton, 26, is a 5-foot-10 point guard who played for South Bay in 2019-20 but just for two games.

Nate Pierre-Louis

Nate Pierre-Louis, 22, is a 6-foot-4 shooting guard who last played for Temple in the NCAA. He averaged 8.5 rebounds in 2019-20 as a senior.

Daishon Smith

Daishon Smith, 26, is a 6-foot-1 point guard who played five games with South Bay in 2019-20.

Cameron Young

Cameron Young, 25, is a 6-foot-6 forward who has played overseas the last two seasons after coming out of Quinnipiac as a junior.
