The Jacksonville Jaguars have finally put pen to paper with No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence, agreeing to a four-year deal that includes the customary fifth-year option for every first-round pick.

That’s about where the normalcy ends, though, as Lawrence’s deal includes a creative structure unlike anything the league has seen since moving to the current slotted pay scale for incoming draft picks (via ESPN’s Adam Schefter).

Lawrence brings as much hype and expectation as any top overall pick in recent memory, coming off an impressive career at Clemson.
