Former longtime Michigan State basketball assistant coach Dane Fife has been let go by Indiana after just one season.

Fife — an Indiana alum — left Michigan State for a spot on the Hoosiers’ staff around this time last year. Fife had been with Michigan State for 10 years prior to taking the position with Indiana.

Here is a statement from Indiana head coach Mike Woodson on the move to not bring back Fife:

With Fife now looking for a new gig, could he potentially return to East Lansing? There haven’t been any reports of that at this time but don’t be surprised if something happens to bring him back to Michigan State.
