Former Alabama linebacker Shane Lee had an impressive freshman season in 2019 for the Crimson Tide, but saw a stark decrease in production the following two seasons. Now, Lee will head west to play for Lincoln Riley at USC.

Lee was a four-star linebacker in the 2019 class out of Maryland and chose Alabama over LSU, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Michigan and others.

Stepping into a lead role as a true freshman saw Lee accumulate 86 tackles, 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception. In 2020 and 2021, Lee had only nine tackles, one sack and a lone forced fumble.

Lee joins Drew Sanders and King Mwikuta as linebackers to leave Nick Saban’s program.
