The Formula One Azerbaijan Grand Prix takes place in Baku today, as Charles Leclerc looks to convert his pole position into his first victory of the season.
The Ferrari driver made it back-to-back poles as he qualified first yesterday, and he will be hoping to capitalise this time around – having taken pole last month at his home GP in Monaco before a mechanical failure ruled him out of the race just before it began.
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen triumphed at that race in Monte Carlo after qualifying second, but the leader of the drivers’ standings will be starting third on the grid this afternoon.
EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: How Max Verstappen came of age
Defending F1 champion Lewis Hamilton, meanwhile, joins Leclerc on the front row, while Pierre Gasly is fourth, with Carlos Sainz fifth and Lando Norris sixth.
