Team previews

England (+500 to win Euro 2020)

How well is England going to defend? That’s the big question as it looks for its first major trophy since 1966. The England attack is stacked with Harry Kane, Phil Foden, Raheem Sterling, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho all worthy of starting spots. But center back is a big concern, especially if Harry Maguire isn’t fully fit. If Maguire and Jordan Henderson aren’t at 100 percent for the tournament, England isn’t the No. 2 favorite.

Best bet

England to reach the quarterfinals (-200)

Croatia (+3300)

This is a much different team than the one that made the World Cup final in 2018. Luka Modric is still Croatia’s key player and Ivan Perisic will be a threat on the wing. But Ivan Rakitic has retired and just six players from that World Cup team are at the Euros. Andrej Kramaric scored 20 goals for Hoffenheim this season. If he’s in top form then Croatia could make a run once again.

Best bet

England to win group and Croatia to finish second (-105)

Czech Republic (+15000)

Premier League fans will recognize Burnley’s Matej Vydra and West Ham’s Tomas Soucek. The Czechs went 5-3 in qualifying but scored just 13 goals in those eight games and had a +2 goal differential. This is the Czech Republic’s seventh consecutive Euro appearance and the team made the quarterfinals in 2012.

Best bet

Czech Republic to score 1 point (+400)

Scotland (+15000)

The Scots enter Euro 2020 on a high after drawing 2-2 with the Netherlands on Wednesday. This is Scotland’s first European tournament since 1996 and the team features players like Liverpool’s Andy Robertson, Manchester United’s Scott McTominay and Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney. Don’t be surprised if the Scots get out of the group stage given the amount of Premier League talent on the team.

Best bet

Over 2.5 goals in the group stage (+110)
