Bettors are confident that France can follow up its 2018 World Cup win with a European championship.
France is the favorite to win Euro 2020 at BetMGM and bettors have flocked to the defending World Cup champs. 24.1% of the tickets at the book are on France while 25% of the handle — the total money wagered — is on France to win. As a result, France’s odds dropped from +550 to +450.
Four teams have gotten over 10% of tickets at BetMGM. Belgium (+650) is the second-most bet team at 12.6% and is followed by England (+500) and Portugal (+800). 9% of tickets are on Italy (+1000), though 19.5% of the handle is on the Italians. 15% of the handle is on Portugal while 10.2% of the handle is on England.
Most of Belgium’s bets are small. Just 5.3% of the handle is on the team to win.
Denmark, meanwhile, has been a popular longshot bet. The Danes opened at +8000 and have been bet down to +2800. More bets have been placed on Denmark than either the Netherlands and Spain.
