If you’ve followed a decent amount of my work here or on Twitter you’ve likely at stumbled into my thoughts on ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI) at some point. In summary I like the idea of having something that puts a formula to rankings and predictions, but sometimes that formula just doesn’t make sense.
That FPI formula predicted every game for the fourth week of the college football season and with Notre Dame and Wisconsin being the biggest meal of the day (sorry Texas A&M and Arkansas) we thought we’d share how it projects the Irish and Badgers.
ESPN FPI Projected Winner: Wisconsin at 54.6 percent
The FPI currently ranks Wisconsin at No. 19 nationally and Notre Dame at 21.
Here’s to hoping this thing is wrong come 4 p.m. ET.
