England may not win the Euros this summer but if the World Cup is anything to go by then Gareth Southgate’s side shouldn’t be under-estimated.

On their journey to the tournament, England are playing warm-up games and they will face Romania on Sunday.

Earlier this week Southgate fielded a side that beat Austria 1-0 and he will be hoping for the same outcome this weekend.

Even if England lose, it is another opportunity for the manager to get a grasp of what his Euros team should look like.

However, who he plays is also a risk which was shown on Wednesday as Trent Alexander-Arnold sustained a injury in the Austrian friendly.

Here’s all you need to know about the friendly.

When is the match?

The match kicks off at 5pm on Sunday 6 June.

Where can I watch?

The game will be available to watch on ITV 1 and the ITV HUB with coverage starting at 4.15pm.

Team news

Trent Alexander-Arnold has been ruled out of the Euros after sustaining a thigh injury against Austria. The Liverpool star’s replacement is yet to be confirmed.

Harry Maguire is not fit but his Manchester United teammate Marcus Rashford could star as he joined the team on Thursday.

Captain Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling are likely to be rested while players like Ben Chilwell are set to feature.

Predicted line-ups

England – D Henderson; Chilwell, Stones, Coady, Mings; Phillips, Bellingham, Sancho; Rashford, Calvert-Lewin

Odds

England – 2/8

Draw – 5/1

Romania – 10/1

Prediction

While England’s match against Austria wasn’t stunning, Gareth Southgate’s side should pull off a win in the fixture. It won’t be a high scoring match but it will once again be a good opportunity to get a better picture of the Three Lions’ options. England 1-0 Romania.
