Jeers and trash cans have been a fixture on the road for the Houston Astros so far this season, the first with fans in stadiums since the team’s cheating came to light in late 2019.

The team may not have expected to get that treatment at home, however.

A massive group of Los Angeles Dodgers fans, many coordinated by the fan group Pantone 294, were present at Houston’s Minute Maid Park on Tuesday to do what they have been waiting more than a year to do: Give the Astros the business.

Here’s what ensued.

Just wait until the Astros visit Dodger Stadium, which will soon reach 100 percent capacity, on Aug. 3 and 4.

The Dodgers fans also got their money’s worth, as Clayton Kershaw allowed only one earned run in 7.2 innings in his first Minute Maid Park start since Game 5 of the 2017 World Series. The Dodgers offense also piled on late in the game to run up the final score to 9-2.

Wednesday’s game could be just as antagonistic, as Trevor Bauer, who shares a mutual loathing with the Astros, is scheduled to be on the mound. MGM likes the Dodgers, who are -135 favorites for the game.
