Detroit Tigers corner infielder Spencer Torkelson and catcher Dillon Dingler, two of the best prospects in the organization, have been promoted to Double-A Erie.
Making the jump from High-A West Michigan, Torkelson and Dingler will join fellow top prospect Riley Greene with the SeaWolves.
Torkelson, 21, is the Tigers’ No. 1 prospect, according to MLB Pipeline, followed by Greene (No. 2) and Dingler (No. 3). Triple-A Toledo right-hander Matt Manning is the third-best prospect in the farm system and could be promoted to the big leagues soon.

Clearly, Torkelson met the expectations of the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 draft.
As the Tigers’ second-round pick in 2020, Dingler finished his stint in West Michigan with a .287 batting average, six doubles, one triple, eight home runs, 24 RBIs, 13 walks and 36 strikeouts. He logged a .376 on-base percentage and .549 slugging percentage.
Dingler, 22, and Torkelson spent time with the Tigers in big-league camp this past spring training.
