Game notes: The Tigers will try to avoid being swept at home after losing a nailbiter Friday and a blowout Saturday. It will be a “bullpen day” for the Tigers. Following the series with Chicago, Detroit begins a seven-game road trip with a trio of games in Kansas City. Matthew Boyd is expected to pitch the first game Monday. The White Sox will head back home to host the Tampa Bay Rays.
