Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott should be available in two weeks when the team plays its next game.

Coach Mike McCarthy said Monday that the MRI exam Prescott had showed no tear in his right calf.

“He has a calf strain,” McCarthy said. “The word is optimistic, but with any calf strain, there is a variance in time.”

Prescott strained his right calf on the last play of Sunday’s 35-29 overtime win over the Patriots in New England.

The Cowboys (5-1) have a bye this week. They next play the Vikings in Minnesota on Oct. 31.
