The Milwaukee Brewers threw a combined no-hitter on Saturday night, eight of which came from starter Corbin Burns, to shut down the Cleveland Indians 3-0 at Progressive Field.

It marks the ninth no-hitter this season, and the first since Diamondbacks rookie Tyler Gilbert did last month, which snapped a modern day Major League Baseball record.

Burns threw the first eight innings of the night, and threw 14 strikeouts in 115 pitches. Josh Hader then came in for the ninth inning to close things out with nine pitches to officially claim the second no-hitter in franchise history.

It also marks the 16th combined no-hitter in MLB history. The Indians are now the first team in MLB history to be no-hit three times in a single season, too.

Burns, 26, is in his fourth season with the Brewers this year and was named to the All-Star team this season for the first time in his career. He had 24 starts and held a 9-4 record with a 3.44 ERA headed into Saturday’s game.
