With the strong offseason that the New York Giants had, many expect Big Blue to turn a corner this coming season. Last year, in one of the weaker (if not the weakest) divisions in football, the Giants fell a game short of making the playoffs.

On Thursday, Colin Cowherd, host of “The Herd” on Fox Sports Radio, went through each division and predicted the records for each team.

Cowherd predicted the Giants will finish 8-9, two games behind the Washington Football Team and one game behind the Dallas Cowboys, inevitably missing the playoffs. The Philadelphia Eagles were predicted to go 4-13, trailing the rest of the pack.

Cowherd’s prediction of having the Cowboys finishing ahead of the Giants came down to trusting Dak Prescott over Giants quarterback Daniel Jones.

While many expect Jones and the Giants to turn the corner this year, many are still skeptical over the team’s quarterback given his turnover issues in the early part of his career. The season will likely hinge on Jones making the offense work with all the weapons the Giants have placed around him.

Hopefully with a healthy Saquon Barkley and a great supporting cast of pass catchers, Jones can find the success and lead Big Blue to the playoffs. After all, the Giants’ fan base has starving for a playoff appearance for quite some time now.
