May 22—Chris Storck earned medalist honors by shooting a 1-over 71 Friday during qualifying for the Berks County Golf Association Match Play Championship at Moselem Springs Golf Club.
Perry Landis was second at 73, and Scott Clark, Colton Sterner and defending champ Nicholas Vecellio each shot 74.
The top 16 qualifiers earned spots in the championship flight; the next 16 qualified for match play in the first flight.
Storck, the 2009 Match Play champ and the No. 1 seed, will face 16th-seeded Ross Pilliod in the first round Saturday at Moselem Springs at 8 a.m.
The quarterfinals will be Saturday afternoon. The semifinals and finals are Sunday.
