The Cleveland Browns didn’t have a first round pick after the Deshaun Watson trade, and they then traded out of the second round.

Cleveland used Day 2 to shore up depth on defense and at receiver.

Instant grade: B

Analysis: Emerson has a real shot at playing time as a rookie as an outside corner.

3rd Round, No. 78 overall | Alex Wright, DE, UAB

Instant grade: C-plus

Analysis: Wright is a developmental prospect who will need time to get better.

3rd Round, No. 99 overall (compensatory) | David Bell, WR, Purdue

Instant grade: B-plus

Analysis: Bell did not test well, but his film is so, so good for a slot “gadget” guy. He’ll make his mark in the NFL.
