Oregon State and head coach Jonathan Smith stuck while the iron was hot, landing 2022 defensive back Carlos Mack just days after landing center Dylan Lopez.

The 6-foot-1, 178-pounder is the sixth commitment in the Beavers’ 2022 class, joining quarterback Travis Throckmorton, running back Damien Martinez, receiver Cole Prusia, linebacker Melvin Jordan, & Lopez.

Mack, who visited Corvallis this past weekend, chose OSU over the likes of Colorado State & Fresno State. He joins Jordan as the only other defensive commitment in the class.

During his sophomore season in 2019-20, Mack recorded 85 tackles, seven tackles for loss, three sacks, one interception, and had one fumble recovery.
