The Cleveland Browns made a trade on Day 3 of the 2021 NFL draft. Cleveland traded out of the No. 113 overall pick, shipping the slot to the Detroit Lions.

In exchange for the fourth-round pick, the Browns received the No. 153 overall pick and a 2022 fourth-round pick from Detroit. Cleveland also sent the Lions the No. 257 overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft in the seventh round. As a result, the Browns are no longer scheduled to have a pick in the final round.

Detroit moved up to select Purdue linebacker Derrick Barnes. Cleveland used the acquired fourth-round pick on West Virginia linebacker Tony Fields.
