Baker Mayfield tends to be the star of the show wherever he goes. For the Cleveland Browns, the hope is that extends to the NFL playoffs and a Super Bowl appearance.
For now, after a week of hosting teammates in Austin, Texas, Mayfield was busy putting on a show at Jarvis Landry’s charity softball event. Mayfield tied for first in the home run derby and was a part of Landry’s winning team as well.
Mayfield’s power, coming from the left side, was impressive. Not only did he tie for the most home runs but he cleared the real wall at the minor league park, not just the one set up for the home run derby.
Mayfield posted this video to his Instagram:
You can see just how competitive Mayfield is as well as how much he and his teammates enjoy their time together. In this video, you can hear how excited the 7,000 plus fans were for the show Mayfield put on:
In the end, a great event for charity that fans got to enjoy Mayfield and others put on a great performance. For the Browns, no injuries during the game was the most important thing. Now the team can move forward to minicamp this week.
