Last week we did a story about how Arizona State’s football transfer class for 2023 was ranked No. 3 in the nation.
A lot can change in a few days.
The site that ranked ASU’s transfer class No. 3 now has the Sun Devils elevated to No. 1 for its incoming class of transfers.
Yes, On3.com says that Kenny Dillingham currently has the best group of transfers in the nation.
Arizona State had been behind Michigan State and Michigan last week.
Now, it comes in at No. 1, with Colorado No. 2 and Michigan State No. 3.
Michigan is No. 4, followed by UCF.

How did the site come up with the ranking?
It explains its methodology: “On3’s Team Transfer Portal Rankings are the standard index measuring a team’s production during the transfer process. This proprietary algorithm determines if a school has improved its overall team talent, stayed the same, or declined in talent during the transfer window.”
According to the ranking, ASU is gaining 18 transfers for 2023, while losing 15. It gives Arizona State a score of 82.
Colorado has a 59, while Michigan State has a 50. Michigan and UCF each have a 43 on On3.com’s ranking score.
