Courtney struck out nine and did not walk a batter. He allowed seven hits and two earned runs.
Ashton Gregory went 4-for-5 with a run and three RBI to lead the Rails. Zak Madsen and Ian Koosman each had two hits for Willmar.
For Granite Falls, Ty Schulte went 2-for-2 with a run and Zac Enevoldsen was 2-for-4.
