Jun. 28—SPICER — The Atwater Chuckers hung on to beat the New London-Spicer Twins 5-4 Sunday in a County Line League Game.

NLS scored once in the eighth inning and twice in the ninth to cut a 5-1 deficit to the final outcome at the Green Lake Diamonds.

Josh Kingery went 4-for-5 with a home run, three runs, two RBI and three stolen bases to lead Atwater. Josh Kinzler and Jordan Olson each had two hits for the Chuckers.

Kingery also got the pitching win, going the first five innings. He struck out eight, walked two and allowed four hits and one earned run.

For the Twins, Scott Rambow and Ethan Haugen each homered. Rambow went 2-for-4.

Devon Savage smacked a three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth to tie it at 6-6. It was Savage’s second home run of the game. He had four hits.

For Richmond, Cole Schmitz hit a three-run homer in the 10th inning.

Sacred Heart 0

Mirloy beat Sacred Heart to improve to 8-1 in the Corn Belt League and 11-4 overall at Yankee Field.

Isaac Schmitt tossed a two-hitter, striking out 13, in the complete-game victory.

Jack Tauer was 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI for Milroy. Matt Bauer and Brian Dolan each went 2-for-4 for the Yankees.

Sacred Heart fell to 1-8 in Corn Belt League play.

Bennett Knapper went 7 1/3 innings to get the pitching win as the Granite Falls Kilowatts beat the Wabasso Jaxx at Richter Field.

Knapper struck out five and walked two, allowing five hits and one earned run. Dylan Lindstrom was 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Raymond defeated Waverly 8-0 and lost to Baseball 365, a Class A team from the Twin Cities, 7-1.

Raymond then defeated Jordan 1-0 in the third-place game.
