Alabama head coach Nick Saban is known for a lot of things, but the top reason would likely be ‘winning.’ He has not lost a game since before the ongoing pandemic got started, and is 3-0 as the Crimson Tide head into a Week 4 matchup at home against Southern Miss.
With a win over Southern Miss this week, Saban and the Crimson Tide will have won 100 consecutive games against unranked opponents.
As former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy mentioned, the 100 straight wins is longer than the next three longest active streaks combined (Clemson, 36; Notre Dame, 35; Cincinnati, 24).
This weekend, @AlabamaFTBL is going for 100 wins in a row over unranked opponents, the longest streak in the AP Poll Era (since 1936). It’s also longer than the next three-longest active streaks combined (Clemson at 36, Notre Dame at 35, Cincinnati at 24).
