Jul. 21—The stars come out tonight for one last show.

Graduated players from the Lackawanna Football Conference collide in the 87th Scranton Lions Club Dream Game tonight at 7 at John Henzes/Veterans Memorial Stadium.

County coach David Piwowarczyk of Lakeland and City coach Terry Gallagher of Scranton Prep announced the lineups for the game, which is back after missing 2020 because of coronavirus pandemic concerns.

Leading the County, which won in 2019, 14-7, are Western Wayne running back Zane Janiszewski, the Times-Tribune Offensive Player of the Year, Riverside record-setting quarterback Johnny Gilchrist and Western Wayne fullback Adam Silfies.

All three receivers — Delaware Valley’s Mark Callanan, Old Forge’s Michael DiGregorio and Riverside’s Michael Rickert — were All-Region in 2020. Carbondale Area’s Donovin Loomis, who missed last season when the school chose not to sponsor fall sports, is at tight end.

Up front for the County are Lakeland tackle Collin Clauss-Walton, Western Wayne tackle Julian Walck, Honesdale guard Geoff Johnson, Mid Valley guard Jason Maceyko and Riverside center Justin Tigue.

Defensively, the County line features Lakeland end Robert Romanowski and Valley View end Pat Murphy, Lakeland tackle Cross Douglas and Delaware Valley

tackle Thomas Actisdano.

County linebackers are Lakeland’s Chase Nolan and Valley View’s TJ Noto and Corey Coulthard. In the secondary are Abington Heights’ Julian Blanco, Delaware Valley’s Preston Machado, Lakeland’s Mike Pidgeon and Mid Valley’s Jeremiah Wolo.

Delaware Valley’s Aiden Oliver will handle kicking and punting duties.

For the City, Scranton Prep’s Paddy Grady and West Scranton’s Cayden Merrifield will share quarterback responsibilities, while Lackawanna Trail’s Ray Melnikoff and Wallenpaupack fullback Seamus Smith complete the backfield.

North Pocono’s Ryan Dolphin joins Ryan McAndrew, Max Mulligan and tight end Vito Gianello — all of Scranton Prep — in the receiving corps.

West Scranton tackle Brian Lipscomb, Lackawanna Trail tackle Kyle Austin, Dunmore center Mason Maciejewski, Wallenpaupack guard Liam Smith and North Pocono guard Chris Kryeski make up the offensive line.

Kryeski, Maciejewski and Liam Smith are expected to pull double duty up front along the defensive line. Dunmore end Michael Burke and Scranton tackle Matt Reyes are listed as starters.

Scranton’s Mychal Slavinski, Susquehanna’s Garrett Decker, Wallenpaupack’s Seamus Smith and Gianello are the linebackers.

Dumnore’s Karl Kincel, Wallenpaupack’s Alex Gardsy, West Scranton’s Moet Wellington, Merrifield and Grady will play in the secondary for the City.

Dunmore’s Peyton Badyrka will kick and punt.
