A tough blow to Oklahoma’s 2022 recruiting class came down on Monday: Four-star wide receiver Jordan Hudson decommitted from the Sooners and reopened his recruitment.

Out of Garland, Texas, Hudson has been committed to Oklahoma since July of 2020 and is the No. 14 overall receiver in the class of 2022 according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. His loss is certainly a significant one and could be more so depending on his new landing spot — rival Texas is considered among the favorites.

Hudson was highly sought when he committed to Oklahoma last summer, holding offers from Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Miami, Oregon, Oklahoma State and USC among others. Despite choosing the Sooners, other programs have gotten him to decommit.

Sooners Wire will provide more details on what direction Oklahoma plans to go to replace Hudson on the future roster when they become available.
